On the track to joy. In 1999, a new way to have fun was born! Locopéia arrived! Reminding the locomotives and the history of Blumenau, the idea came from the MACUCA, an old locomotive placed in front of the Town Hall in Blumenau. Locopéia, having as a base an airplane tug, became a very unusual toy. The materials used for its construction are copper, brass, wrought iron, fine wood, leather, carvings and thematic characterization with high sounding music. It can take up to 20 people, in classes Boiler, Economic and Premium. It is the only locomotive capable of rotating 360 degrees within a radius of 4 meters. In a very creative way, a carved cow’s rear serves for passengers’ bar service. The draft beer is served through the udder of the cow, driving its tail up and down. Here is its first sketch made by Nerino in a napkin.
